Intel Network Adapter Driver for Wins 7 - Very Slow Response On Access the tab On Windows Device Manager

$

0

I had downloaded and installed the latest V22.10 of the above mentioned (PROWinx64Legacy.exe) on a Beckhoff IPC running windows 7 professional x64 Edition with SP1 for the purposes of NIC teaming of the installed intel adapters.  After the successful installation, I encountered the following:

(1)  I found that it takes a long time (around 8 to 10 secs) for the properties window of the various intel adapter to show up once it is accessed. The added tabs (like the Teaming, the Link Speed) also behaves the same and takes a long time (says 5 to 8 secs) to be activated and display its contents. This only affect the intel network adapters.  I installed the driver on two IPCs and the observation is the same. I try to uninstall and reinstall the driver on the same 2 IPCs with no improvement.

Is this normal or is this a bugs in the new latest driver? Anyone encounter the same?

(2) I had the following 4 intel adapters on the said IPC.

(a) x2 intel 82574L Gigabit Network adapter (on add on PCIxe Card)

(b) x1 intel I210 Gigabit Network adapter

(c) x1intel I219-LM Gigabit Network adapter

I am not able to team the two intel 82574L adapters as a team, it gives an error: each team must include at least one Intel server device or intel integrated connection that support teaming. However I am able to team one intel 82574L adapter with either the I210 or the I219_LM adapter as a team.

What is intel integrated connection? The intel 82574L adapters are not server adapters?

SFP+ Not Detecting In X710-DA4

Hi Team,

We have Intel X710-DA4 NIC cards installed in our newly deployed Lenovo Thinkserver SD350. OS in the server is VMware ESXi 6.5

We are using other vendor SFP+ in the card but the card is not suppoting the SFP+. Link status is down and no led.

But the same SFP+ is working fine in Intel X520 NIC card in the same model server. X710 have driver i40e.

Please help to fix this issue.

Thanks!

Intel EXPI9301ct: counterfeit or not

$

Hi!

I need to buy a network card Intel EXPI9301CT and want to know how to distinguish original card from counterfeit.

I know that original card have the following:

1) RJ-45 within opened bus pins and orange tape over it

2) Transformer 'Delta'

3) YottaMark golographic mark (for cards produced since 2009 year)

BUT cards I have seen in the market are differ from original one:

1) RJ-45 pinout contained in the black box

2) Transormer 'Pulse'

3) No any YottaMarks

They looks like as one the ebay page: INTEL EXPI9301CT Gigabit CT Desktop PCI-e Network Adapter 82574L Chipset NIC | eBay

Please help me to know how to distinguish original Intel expi9301ct:

1) Is Intel uses 'Pulse' transformers on its network cards? Is it means that the card is counterfeit?

2) Is YottaMark should be on ALL Intel cards?

Thank you!

FreeBSD/OPNsense igb issue with I211-AT embedded nics, link gone sometimes, only ifconfig d/u fixes it

Hi all,

I'm doing intensive testing of OPNsense (firewall solution based on FreeBSD 11.0/11.1) with a device from Jetway with 10 embedded i211-AT NICs: JBC390F541AA :: HBJC390F541AA19B :: Intel Celeron Bay Trail J1900 3.5" SBC Barebone :: JETWAY COMPUTER CORP.

From time to time, the link is not responding any more. E.g. a ping to a neighbor system does not work any more. I do not get any hints in log files.

Only doing a "ifconfig igbX down" followed by a "ifconfig igbX up" fixes the issue.

I did extensive testing which I have documented here:

WAN link gone sometimes (igb driver, I211 nics), ifconfig d/u fixes it (forum.opnsense.org)

As I'm still seeing this issue from time to time, I'd like to ask this question here in case that anybody else has ever seen this issue before.

Best regards,

Werner

I210 Network Teaming SFT Failover 12 Second Delay

Teaming failover takes ~12 seconds using I210 adapters on Windows 10. Teaming failover with previous system configurations occurred under 1 second. The Wireshark capture is attached showing the data transfer from PC2 (192.168.28.72) to PC1 (192.168.28.71). The failover was induced after packet 368. Transfer resumes at packet 392 after ~12.6 seconds. Is it possible to reduce the failover time?

Is it possible to connect XL710-QDA2 directly using XLDACBL3 - without switch, does it work in full duplex mode?

$

Hi All,

I am using two DELL Poweredge R430 servers and each server has one dual port XL710-QDA2 [1]. Now we want to connect these two NICs directly using XLDACBL3 [2] cable, but we are not sure if the setup will work. On  server 1, we are running DPDK based L2Fwd application and on the other server DPDK-pktgen is generating the packets. Server 1 returns the packets back to server 2.

So can we use XLDACBL3 cables to connect these NICs directly and will they work in full-duplex mode?

Intel X520-2 Adapter with direct SFP+ Cable to Dlink DGS 1210 48 Switch How ?

$

Hello,

first of all im totally new with the SFP+ Cable.

i try to connect my Dlink DGS 1210 48 Switch with the Intel X520-2 Adapter on the Fileserve with an 3M SFP+ Cables|10GbE SFP+ Cable|Cisco/HP/H3C Compatible|CAB-10GSFP-P3M  ordered with the Intel standard XDACBL3M

The Dlink Switch has an Amber Light from at the Connection-Port ( in the Manual there is no amber status for this slot but nvm there is ANY light)

The Fileserver Adapter says "no network cable pluged". i tried to install a new driver from Intel but nothing happens. So i plugged the beginning and the End of the cable into the Intel Adapter and finally all the lights going to blink and the status switch to connected..

After some massiv abuse of Google i stumbled over all sort of Standards and every manufacture has its own, thats why you can buy dlink cables and intel cables and cisco and netgear and so on...

So my Situation is i cant set up anything on the Dlink Side at this Ports (enable or disable) and there is an amber light blink.. on the other side the Cable works with the Intel Adapter..

i searched for cables from Intel to Dlink Standards.. and just found one windy reseller in another country that have this sort of cable. So i think that is not the standard to get a workaround to this Dilema. So i want to ask what is the common workaround for this Problem ? Do IT Department wire the cable for themself or is there an Adapter or Software Solution ?

thank you for helping me out.

Processeur : Core i5 6600k

SSD : Samsung 850evo

RAM : Corsair 8Gox2

Merci pour votre aide d'avance.

i am using CentOS 7.4, and checked in ixgbe driver source from centos, there is no ndo_set_vf_link_state handler.

i also checked ixgbe driver from intel driver download from version 3.x to version 5.3.4(latest for now), and no ndo_set_vf_link_state implemention.

is there a plan to support ndo_set_vf_link_state? or some patch available?

thanks a lot.

Losing internet connexion after 5min on ethernet

Hello,

Following my move to Windows 10 that I just installed on my new SSD, I encounter a very strange problem, indeed, as soon as I turn on my pc I am normally connected to the internet and everything works well but after a while, (about 5 to 10min) I completely lose the internet connection, I can not open any more pages (not even google).

PS: The network icon at the bottom of the screen does not show any anomalies.

I tried to update my Ethernet driver with the latest driver provided on the Intel site, I tried to update the Windows via Windows Update to the latest version but nothing has changed! I also tried to reset the network settings through the commands on "cmd" it works at first but later the problem comes back and it's still after a few minutes of use. I then thought to do a complete reinstallation of the windows but it did not solve the problem.

For now, I'm getting a temporary solution:

- Going through the following cmd command: ipconfig / flushdns which makes the internet connection come back.

Another very important info that can help is that when I use skype or other software that uses the internet, it continues to work despite that I do not have an internet on my explorer, however, if i leave the software to restart it, it will not work again.

FYI I have a network card: Intel ethernet connection i219-v

Motherboard: Asus Z170 pro gaming

Processor: Core i5 6600k

SSD: Samsung 850evo

RAM: Corsair 8Gox2

Thank you for your help in advance.

"NO Intel adapters are present in this computer" - PRO/1000 PT dual NIC in ASUS P8Z77-M Pro issue

$

Recently added Pro/1000 PT dual port card to the last PCIe2.0 slot on P8Z77-M Pro motherboard. slot was recently used for sound card and RAID card with no issues.

Added Pro/1000 PT NIC to Win10 Creators updated system and it came up working with no issues, streaming data, connecting to my NAS and everything, with ONLY that NIC being used.

Downloaded drivers and tools and try and get advanced features running but run into the same issue. ALL installers think there is no card in the system.

When I run the Intel Driver Support Assistant is tells me that the card is using driver version 9.13.41.3 dated 9/29/2011! and there are no software updates available and the device is working properly. Is this correct??

But yet any installer for Intel® Ethernet Adapter Complete Driver Pack versions 22.10, 22.9, 22.3 show the dreaded "No Intel Adapter are present in this computer"

Running the PROADMIN tool for the same version numbers just gets me a directory that had no further installer tools.

So far I have tried to uninstall the drivers/reboot/install drivers with no change in results.
Also have powered down, uninstalled card, reseated, and rebooted with no change.

Am lost and frustrated and just want to bond these damn ports.

Multicast join using multiple VM with Intel X520-DA2, 82599 Ethernet Control VF

$

I'm trying out mutlicast streaming of uncompressed HD and UHD video uisng VMs and SRIOV with an Intel X520-DA2 NIC (82599 Etherent Control VF).

I can send a mutlicast stream from a VM OK and receive a mutlicast stream on a VM using a SRIOV VF. I'm not using VLANs, just separate MAC/IP address on the same LAN.

If I have 2 VMs on the same host, using separate SRIOV VFs from the same Intel NIC, I can see multicast traffic on both VM interfaces (when only 1 VM has joined the stream).

I have tried turning allmutlicast & promisc mode on/off, but it seems to make no difference.

I can see the traffic using the network stats and using tcpdump in the unjoined VM.

Is this a feature of the NIC, or is there a way to stop traffic going to both VFs/VMs.

For the purpose of testing, I'm using KVM (Virtual Machine Manager) on Ubuntu 16.04, my setup is as follows:
